What a fantastic Idea. A jump pack that is permanently connected to the battery so if you ever have a flat battery the Rescue Mate can automatically detect this, charge the battery and you are good to go. Then once the alternator has started turning the Rescue Mate will manage the charge back into the battery via a management system built into the unit.
I would think that this would be an absolute must for anyone into offshore fishing, very remote overland vehicles, emergency generation and more. In fact Oz Charge do supply some emergency services in Australia in their mission critical applications.
Well done JAS for identifying this issue and issuing a recall. Recalls are a serious disruption to brand and business and the team at JAS will be working hard to rectify this. Good corporate governance in practice within this company.
